Nugget & The Cathedrals

Cathedrals are wonders of architecture which stores exquisite treasures, hidden secrets and rich histories, each unique in its own right. DUOMO DI MILANO, MILAN "...an anthem sung in stone, a poem wrought in marble... They say that the Cathedral of Milan is second only to St. Peter's at Rome. I cannot understand how it can be second to anything made by human hands "    Twain, 1869.  I've never seen a structure more beautiful than the Duomo cathedral. This majestic beauty appears to be fit for royalty, for a King of the highest esteem. If I can't see any other cathedral on my list, I must see at least this one. One of my favourite feature is that visitors have access to the roof, where I'd willingly climb stairs just to enjoy that breathtaking view across Milan and examine the exquisite detail of the sculptures which crowns the structure. This artistic monument was officially started in 1386 and took thousand of workers over approximately 6 centuries of ...

Nugget & The Caves

I never thought that I'd be interested in going into caves. I think batman scarred me growing up and made me think caves are just dark holes, infested with bats but I was so wrong. Here are some of the most amazing caves around the world, each carrying unique features. ICE CAVE, KAMCHATKA Does the pictures of this ice cave below remind anyone else of cotton candy or the passage to a fairytale world ? Yes, I'm sure it does. This magical cave is located in  Kamchatsky, Russia  where the entire landscape is constantly changing due to active  volcanoes  and  glaciers . The location is described as being alive and having  a beating heart .  This  ice jewel  was carved by a volcano-fed river which is sourced from a hot spring from the  Mutnovsky volcano  which flows through the glacier. Its cotton candy  colours  are a result of the  refraction of sunlight t streaming through the ice walls. Photo credit:...

Nugget & The Travertine Terraces

The best J acuzzis aren't found in the fanciest hotels or the most exquisite homes, but rather, they were crafted and sustained by nature itself. These hot spring terraces have been around for many years, providing  luxurious baths for all visitors and today, they are top tourist destinations around the world. PAMUKKALE, TURKEY Literally meaning " cotton castle " in Turkish, Pamukkale is located in the Denizli Province of Southwestern Turkey . Its name was derived from the shimmering , snowy-white limestone surface which were shaped into calcium-rich hot springs. These springs are some of the most beautiful and photogenic in the world and judging by pictures, I can see why. There are 17 hot spring travertine terraces in which bathing is permitted; bathing is allowed - my favourite thing about here.  Photo credit: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/419749627760761453/ CLIFFSIDE POOLS, MEXICO The Las Grutas de Tolantongo is a natural spa resort and box canyon ...

Nugget & The Flower Fields

A post for the plant lovers, the landscape lovers, those who just love to appreciate the beauty of nature and most importantly, for the tea lovers. Here are some of the most unbelievably flower fields around the world. LAVENDER FIELDS, UK The British countryside is home to some of the most beautiful lavender fields , just look at those shades of lavender in the pictures below. These fields are maybe the most photogenic ones I've even seen and I'm ever in the UK, I'm definitely visiting and there's lots to choose from. The Lavender farm are usually in full bloom from June to August and my favourite thing bout them is, tourists like myself, are free to walk through and tour the facilities. There's even a nice gift shop that I need to go to because who doesn't love the scent of lavender? Nugget & The Tree Tunnels

Is there anything more magical than walking through a perfect canopy of the most beautiful flowers? It doesn't matter if they were formed through the grace of nature or sculpted by the hands of inspired gardeners . They are nothing short of being both beautiful and enchanting. GYENOGHWA STATION, JINHAE For me, Japan is synonymous with sakuras , commonly known as cherry blossoms and to experience a tunnels of them would be amazing. The  Gyeonghwa Station in South Korea is one of the top spots to take photos of this pale pink ocean in Jinhae.  Photo credit:https://www.pinterest.com/pin/306104105897175941/ WISTERIA FLOWER TUNNEL, KITAKYUSHU The Wisteria Flower Tunnel in the Kawachi Fuji Garden seems to be a scene taken from a fairytale.
